Police arrested two men yesterday morning after they broke in to Zeldas Restaurant in Capitola Village through a rooftop window. They are currently investigating whether the men were involved in other burglaries in the area.
The police were alerted to the crime scene after receiving a call that two men had been seen running across the rooftops in the area. They caught the burglars when they returned to their vehicle, where a woman was waiting for them in the passenger seat. The money stolen from Zeldas was found in their possession. In a subsequent search of their home, police later found tools to assist in the break-ins, as well as controlled substances.
