Sunday was the 27th annual triathlon event, which raised about $50,000 for local high school and college sports programs. The winner was Sam Inkinen, 34, of San Francisco, who completed the event in 1:56:11. Local favorite Tommy Zafares took a spill on his bike, and was forced to abandon the race.
