A 17-year-old youth was in serious but stable condition on Friday after he was stabbed in a gang fight in downtown Santa Cruz. Another victim of the fight suffered serious trauma after being kicked in the head. Both victims have refused to cooperate with the police, who are still investigating what led to the fight, which broke out in a parking lot near Elm and Cedar streets. According to witnesses, the entire scuffle lasted only a few seconds, and everyone but the victims ran off before the police arrived. Read more at the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
