Gina, I just watched that video clip, it brought a tear to my eye. I knew you were working with these kids and working HARD at keeping the team together and helping them get through it all, I’ve kind of gotten a little inkling about your past “gang involvement” but never knew the background or the level in which you were involved.
After seeing this clip and from what I’ve seen you do- you never cease to amaze me! Everything you went through in your personal life, and giving thanks to God for having gone through it to become the wonderful person, leader, mentor that you are today really makes me admire you even more. You’re a strong, smart, beautiful woman and I know those boys benefit from having been blessed with your presence in your life.
